Tax Tip - Week 5 - Leaving the UK

If you have been running your own Limited Company as a Professional Contractor or Freelancer in the UK and then decide to leave to work or retire in another country, there may be an opportunity to save tax and some consideration needs to be made to your tax position both in the UK and in your destination country.

Even if you leave you may have to pay tax on both dividends and any capital gains, although you will still be eligible for all the tax allowances.

Please read our detailed guidance on leaving the UK.
