I graduated from University of Northumbria and joined the company in 1985 as a Chartered Accountant, having previously worked with KMG Thomson McLintock, now part of the KPMG.

With significant responsibility as a Partner of the Group's Chartered Accountancy practice in respect of the day-to-day management I deal with all aspects of the practice professional work, including audit, accounts, tax compliance and tax planning for UK clients.

I advise clients on a wide range of commercial issues including fund raising, due diligence on business purchase or sale in addition to providing advice on UK inheritance tax.

Having worked with small to large clients, I have a wealth of experience in dealing with different businesses.

I advise clients from start-ups to possible sale of business and my clients include advising a two-man partnership which was set-up 25 years ago which became a large corporate company with over 300 employees. The business was recently sold for over £30m.

Weather permitting, I enjoy gardening.

I am an experienced accountant and worked for prestigious accountancy firms and family offices over the last 13 years.

I gained invaluable experience during my time at the Guinness family office dealing with all aspects of taxation of individuals and Owner managed companies.

Prior to joining BFCA I held a management position at Deloitte in their Private client department.

I was instrumental in restructuring and developing the firm’s Centre of Excellence in 2008.
